If your answer is “yes” to any one of these questions you may want to join the Adult Christian Education Committee and the PresbyReaders this fall. We will be reading Jon Meacham’s The Soul of America: The Battle for Our Better Angels. A non-fiction work by a Pulitzer Prize winning historian, this book explores how hope and national values have repeatedly triumphed over fear and division during critical moments in American history. His work reminds us that our Republic works when citizens are active and attentive participants seeking the common good. 

We will meet to discuss the book at 11:00 am, October 20th and 27th. We will reconvene on November 10th, a week following the elections to once again consider the state of the nation. Start reading now and plan to come and bring a friend. Pastor Eileen will facilitate.
