Technology Team
The Technology Team provides meaningful online worship experiences for those attending church from home via Zoom, both on Sundays as well as during special services, weddings, and funerals. Pre-service music provides opportunities for our online participants to focus and prepare for worship. Recordings of the worship services are posted to the church’s YouTube account for those who missed worship at the regular time or those who would like to revisit what they had seen or heard earlier.
The tech team happily welcomes additional volunteers to help share in the fun and rewarding work of providing worship to those who attend church from home. It generally takes 3 people to produce online services, a Zoom host, a sound operator, and a camera operator. The Zoom host runs the Zoom meeting, admits, and welcomes people into the meeting, displays the online bulletin slides, and opens the meeting to the fellowship chat at the end of worship. The sound operator connects the sanctuary system to the Zoom meeting, controls the pre-worship music, and adjusts volume levels. The camera operator is a bit like a TV studio producer, calling video queues and cross-fading between camera views. Team members can become cross-trained to fill various roles, if they would like. We welcome the young, not so young, and any age in between! Contact the church office (732) 899-0587 if you are interested in joining the team.
