Thoughts From Our Pastor

Dear PPPC -

I’m looking forward to Sunday, as we join together for worship and the church picnic at Riverfront Park in Point Pleasant. At present, the weather still looks good, so we will plan to gather at 10am. If anything should change, you will be notified via email.

I love this day, when we stretch our legs and move outside of the Sanctuary, to a more informal setting, to have worship and fellowship together. A welcome reminder that while we cherish our Sanctuary and we are charged with good stewardship and care of all our property, the Church is not only a building. The Church is the people. Those God has called together to worship, love, serve, and care: disciples of Jesus Christ.

The Church is the people and I was sorry to miss you all in worship last week. I’d like to extend my gratitude to both Pastor Eileen and Pastor Linda for their leadership and flexibility in my absence. Thank you for the prayers you have already offered for my family. It is with a deep sorrow that I share with you that my beloved sister, Megan, is now receiving hospice care at home. I ask that your prayers would continue - for Megan, and for my Dad.

See you on Sunday at Riverfront Park.

Yours for the journey,

Pastor Molly
