World Communion Sunday And Offering On October 4

"All of God's people gather around the Table to celebrate the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Part of the atonement that happens around this Table is reconciliation, which is the focus of the World Communion Offering. Experience the grace that comes from reconciling all peoples from all nations around the corner and around the globe through the ministry of this offering." 

World Communion Sunday is October 4th this year. During worship we will receive the World Communion Offering (formerly known as the Peace & Global Witness Offering).

A quarter of what is received stays here at Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church to help those in our community experience the freedom and dignity that Christ wants for everyone, everywhere. Another quarter goes to the mid-council and half goes to the Presbyterian Mission Agency. The Presbyterian Mission agency is a body of the church, continually working to advocate for peace and justice in cultures of violence, through collaborative projects of education and Christian witness.

If you will be worshiping in-person on Sunday, there will be special envelopes in your pew. If you are worshiping via Zoom, please bring your offering to the church office or use the "Give" button at the top of this website. Use the "Special Giving" button and note that it is for the the World Communion Offering.
