Little Dresses for Africa is a non-profit 501c3 Christian organization whose mission is to provide humanitarian relief to the most vulnerable children of Africa and beyond. Since its inception in 2006, it has provided over 9 million dresses and britches to young girls and boys in the African continent. They also work alongside others to address the needs in villages such as clean water, education and community involvement. Together, we make a difference! Check out their website https://littledressesforafrica.org/.
This Sunday, we welcome PPPC’s Busy Hands sewers in celebrating the blessing of 28 dresses, 9 britches, and countless sani-pads and undies. They began their mission as part of our Churchwide Day of Service this past November 1st and meet every 1st Tuesday of the month in Fellowship Hall. Join us as we have the privilege of dedicating these beautiful gifts of the heart and we recognize the labor of love by the following members and friends of Busy Hands for Mission:
Sue Perkowski – Busy Hands for Mission - Coordinator
Marion Dillane, Robin DeRosa, Roberta Collins, Bette Haze, Sara Sturgess and Marjorie Meklin and our Sunday School children, Madailin and Mackenzie Philipps. Additionally, the following members sew at home: Donna Norton, Nancy Jalowski and Donna Wittmann.
Many thanks to PW, whose members donated countless panties, as well as all who donated materials and financial support to this project.
Come on Sunday and be a witness to this wonderful mission in our midst!
